Magnelis® the material for the solar industry

Also we are using Magnelis® for all steel profiles in our racking system because we want to offer our customers the best possible quality.

Due to the specific metallic composition of the coating, Magnelis® offers a maximum of surface and cut-edge protection, so that the corrosion protection is also exceptionally high compared to normal hot-dip galvanized material. The special chemical interaction of zinc and magnesium is the decisive factor for an extremely resistant, non-porous protective coating that ensures protection against rust even in aggressive environments such as close to the sea and covers the corrosion categories C1-C5 M (near the sea). Another feature of this coating is the so-called cathodic protection - a self-healing process - which means that cut edges or perforations covered with this protective film are also resistant to corrosion.

The low rate of zinc run-off from Magnelis® into the soil should be also highlighted. Compared to conventional galvanized material, this is significantly slower and therefore more environmentally compatible and is also recommended for use in water protection areas.

Thus, Magnelis® is ideally suited for cold-rolled and punched profiles used in our racking system.
